RTP and House Edge Explained
RTP, or Return to Player, is the theoretical percentage of total wagers that a game returns to players over the long term. If a game has an RTP of 96%, it means an average of ৳96 comes back for every ৳100 wagered — but this is a long-term average, and results can vary from session to session.
Typical RTP ranges for different games: slots generally 92–98%, blackjack around 99%, roulette 94–97%. Table games typically have a higher RTP than slots.
House edge is the flip side of RTP — the percentage the casino keeps. For example, a 96% RTP means a house edge of 4%. This is part of the casino's business model and is transparently disclosed on all licensed platforms.
Understanding RTP and house edge is important before participating in betting or casino games. It will help you make informed decisions and enjoy entertainment within your budget.
Bankroll Management Guide
- Set a gaming budget: Decide in advance how much you can spend on gaming each month. This amount should only be money that, if lost, will not affect your daily life.
- Divide into sessions: Split your total budget into smaller session amounts. For example, if you have a monthly budget of ৳5,000, do not set more than ৳500–৳1,000 per session.
- The 1–5% rule per bet: Keep each bet between 1% and a maximum of 5% of your total bankroll. This rule ensures longer-lasting play and reduces the risk of losing everything in a single bad session.
- Take a break after winning: End your session when you have won a set amount (for example, a 50% increase to your bankroll) and withdraw some of your winnings. Controlling greed is the key to long-term success.
- Respect your loss limit: If you reach your set loss limit in a session, stop immediately. Placing larger bets emotionally to chase lost money is the biggest mistake you can make.
- Track your gaming history: Keep a record of your deposits, withdrawals, and bets. This will help you understand your own patterns and make more informed decisions.
